Sewalo is more than just a platform — it’s a community built on trust, dignity, and mutual respect. Whether you are a customer or a service provider, we ask everyone to treat each other with kindness, professionalism, and fairness.
We proudly support equality across all differences — gender, caste, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, language, or background.
Where This Applies
This Code of Conduct applies to all activity on the Sewalo platform, including communication between users, service delivery, bookings, reviews, and in-person services.
Our goal is to make Sewalo a safe and welcoming space for all nepalese citizens, both online and offline.
Respect Is Non-Negotiable
The following behaviors are strictly not allowed:
- Discrimination or hate speech based on caste, religion, gender, or ethnicity
- Bullying, threats, or verbal abuse
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior
- Unprofessional behavior with customers or service providers
- Posting or sharing inappropriate, explicit, or offensive content
- Any kind of dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation
- Disrupting, ghosting, or abandoning booked services without communication
Anyone found engaging in these behaviors may face warnings, suspensions, or permanent removal from Sewalo.
48-Hour Service Guarantee (for Home Services)
We stand by the quality of work offered on Sewalo. If you're not satisfied with a home service, you're covered by our 48-hour guarantee — we'll work with the provider to redo the service free of charge.
This applies to services booked and completed via the Sewalo platform.
Professional Conduct Guidelines
- Be Kind and Respectful
Communicate clearly and politely
Avoid harsh, offensive, or vulgar language
Understand that everyone may come from different regions and speak different dialects — show patience and care - Only Share What’s Yours
Service providers should only list work they’ve done themselves
No plagiarized content, misleading ads, or fake reviews - Deliver Quality and Commitments
Providers: Be on time, stay in touch, and deliver what you promise
Customers: Communicate your needs clearly and treat providers respectfully - Maintain a Safe and Family-Friendly Environment
All photos, profiles, and content should be appropriate for everyone
Do not upload any graphic, explicit, or sensitive material - Offer Honest and Fair Services
All prices should be transparent — no hidden fees or unfair terms
No unpaid or “experience-only” work offers allowed - Legal & Tax Responsibility
As a service provider, you’re responsible for handling your income tax and staying compliant with Nepali laws
What’s Not Allowed on Sewalo
- Illegal services (e.g. drugs, weapons, scams)
- Fake identities or misleading information
- Inappropriate relationship/sexual services
- Hate speech, casteism, or any form of exclusion
- Political campaigns or subversive activities
- Disrespecting other people’s cultures or beliefs
- Religious preaching or forcing personal beliefs
- Spamming, trolling, or offensive commenting
Sewalo has the right to remove content or accounts that violate these rules.
